Collectors' Choice 43

Join us at Collectors’ Choice on Thursday, November 20, to recognize 25 years of visionary leadership and the extraordinary contributions of our honorees Vicki and Kent Logan to the Denver Art Museum.

Since its founding in 1978, the department of modern and contemporary art has grown from fledgling roots into a collection of more than 7,000 artworks made between 1900 and today. In 2000, internationally prominent contemporary art collectors Vicki and Kent Logan established a relationship with the Denver Art Museum. A year later, the Logans gave the single largest donation in the history of the museum’s modern and contemporary art department. The works reflect the Logans' global perspective and represent some of the most exciting and groundbreaking work created in the 1990s and early twenty-first century.

The Logans' generous patronage has had a profound impact on the museum and Denver’s larger contemporary art community. For more than two decades, the Logans’ gifts and loans have inspired and enriched many exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum including Radar: Selections from the Collection of Vicki and Kent Logan (2006), Focus the Figure (2008) Material World (2013), Showing Off: Recent Modern & Contemporary Acquisitions (2015), Disruption: Works from the Vicki and Kent Logan Collection (2023) as well as survey shows of Dana Schutz (2012), Fritz Scholder (2015), Virgil Ortiz (2015), and Kent Monkman (2025). In addition, their longstanding support of the Logan Lecture Series has enabled the Denver Art Museum to present in-depth talks by over 120 world-class contemporary artists.

The 43rd annual Collectors’ Choice gala will be a memorable celebration of modern and contemporary art. This black-tie evening will feature an array of entertainment, a dazzling dinner, and an inspired program recognizing the Logan’s outstanding leadership, and their extraordinary gift of more than 200 significant artworks from across the globe, which continue to invite viewers to see the world in new ways and reflect on many of the important issues facing society today and into the future.

Special thanks to Co-Chairs Suzanne Farver & Clint Van Zee, Vicki & Trygve Myhren, and Judy Robins, and Honorary Chair Amanda J. Precourt (gala leadership in formation). Funds raised through Collectors’ Choice 43 will benefit the museum’s exhibitions and programs.

Sensory Friendly Morning

The museum’s Sensory-Friendly Mornings is a program for kids with neurodiversity or sensory processing disorders and their families to visit the museum in a safe and fun way. The museum will open early, dim the lights, and provide tools to aid and guide a sensory-friendly experience for the whole family.
